London Hilton on Park Lane, the tallest and largest luxury hotel in London when built in the 1960s, was known as an iconic symbol of excellence in the ever-changing Park Lane area. The hotel’s reputation for grandeur has attracted numerous celebrities and royalty, who often gravitate towards the opulent Grand Ballroom for events. As the crown jewel of the Hilton Hotel portfolio, London Hilton on Park Lane operates at an unrivalled level within the group. Boasting unparalleled views of the city, including Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and Westminster, the hotel continues to captivate visitors with its awe-inspiring panoramas. The hotel is currently undergoing a historic multi-million-pound refurbishment with a targeted completion date in late 2024.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- To reestablish London Hilton on Park Lane as one of the UK’s preeminent luxury hotels
- To position the hotel refurbishment as an exciting phase in its history and the beginning of a new era
- To generate coverage of the views from the 28th floor restaurant and bar as some of London’s finest
- To generate maximum profile for the hotel’s 60th anniversary in late 2023
OUR EXECUTION
Our PR strategy has focused on a range of proactive initiatives designed to help drive profile and awareness of the hotel, Galvin at Windows restaurant, and 10 Degrees Sky Bar on the 28th floor. Our key objective (which we achieved) was to secure a TV documentary on the hotel to capture the refurbishment, the key team members of the hotel, and highlight the heritage of the hotel ahead of its 60th anniversary. We have generated significant media awareness and coverage of the refurbishment, built the profile of general manager Matthew Mullan, showcased the food and beverage offer and elevated the profile of the hotel significantly since our appointment.
